At JIM Connect (referred to as "we", "us", or "our"), we respect the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (JIM Connect).

1. Information We Collect

A. Personal Data

When you register for an account or register for campus events, we collect:

Name: To display your identity within event lists and leaderboards.
College Email Address (@jaipuria.ac.in): To verify student registration eligibility.
Phone Number: For campus coordinators to contact you regarding events you register for.
Profile Picture: Used to display your avatar for campus registrations, winners, and profile views.

B. Device & Usage Info

Push Notifications (OneSignal): We collect a unique device token (OneSignal ID) to send you announcements, notice alerts, and event updates.
Location Data: If granted, the app accesses foreground location permissions to show nearby campus location features. You can disable this in settings at any time.

2. Use of Your Information

We use the information collected to:

Create and manage your student profile.
Track and manage your registrations for campus events.
Display winners on the leaderboard directory.
Send you notifications about new notices, events, and results.
Coordinate team registrations and send invite updates to teammate members.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your information is shared only as follows:

With Other Students: If your profile visibility settings are set to public, your name, profile picture, and email/phone will be visible to other students in the Student Directory and Teammate Selection features. You can toggle your profile to private at any time in the app settings.
Event Coordinators/Admins: Staff members can see your registration and contact details to manage events.
Service Providers: We use Supabase for database hosting/authentication and OneSignal for push notifications.

4. Privacy Control Settings

Profile Visibility: You can mark your profile as private in the app settings, which hides your details from other students.
Notifications: You can toggle alerts for announcements and events on/off inside the app settings.
Location Access: You can revoke location access through your device settings.
